"Purchased my 09 Road King in Dec. 2008. Had to take it in for a minor repair. I wanted to say that when they told me my appointment time I carried my bike there. Glenn took it in and told me he would call me, listened to what I had to tell him that I thought was wrong. By the time I got back to work, Chad called me and said your bike is ready! I was like what? that's great. I'll be right there. Checked my bike out when I got home and all is well. Thank you Glen and Chad and all the staff in service for the repair. "WoW!!! What can I really say to describe this place? You really need to come see for yourself. Everyone in this place knows buying a bike is a big purchase decision. NOBODY hassled me, just invited me to sit on a few bikes and see what I liked. I am a pain in the butt customer asking all sorts of questions but Tracy had ALL the answers. Never did I feel like a number to him. I knew nothing about anything in the place but everyone was on my team. "Before I became an employee of New River Harley-Davidson, I have been a customer since the day the door opened back in June of 04. Some new and different faces are there and some ol' dogs like Big Don and Bryan are still there, but the treatment you receive is always the same. The entire Sales Dept staff makes the whole looking, thinking, buying process really easy. The Motorclothes Dept is very helpful in making sure you the customer are prepared for the type of riding you will be doing. "Came down to the area on a family vacation. Had a little mishap with a sand-drive way & knocked my handle-bars loose. 750 miles from home & virtually tool-less, I searched the harley web-site for a nearby dealership & found New River. I was quickly greeted & taken care of. I was also shocked to find that the job I had assumed would be a matter of removing an access cover & tightening a couple allen screws turned out to be one that required removing the headlight & removing/tightening no less than 20 screws. The serviceman additionally noticed another item on my bike that was in dire need of tightening & promptly fixed that as well. I was extremely pleased at this point as my experiences with the service departments in my home area have been less than pleasant. I became simply amazed when I was told that there was no charge for the repairs that had been made. I travel on my bike regularly in 4 states & have visited dozens of dealerships in my travels, but I've never experienced anything like this before. I was greeted by Brandi & Serviced by Bryant (I got these names from the photos on the web-site, as I was too much in shock at the time to pay attention. apologies if I've chosen the wrong folks) I'll definitely make a point of visiting again in the future & will pass along the location/name of the dealership to anyone I know who's travelling this way. You should be very pround of yourselves & your dealership. "I have been riding for ten years now and have had a Kawasaki Vulcan, a Suzuki Intruder and a Triumph Trophy. I never thought much of all the hype surrounding Harley-Davidsons until I started riding with a group from my workplace. They all have Harleys and would not have anything else. Then a neighbor of mine who rode Yamaha cruisers bought a Street Glide and said it was like riding a solid chunk of metal. I started visiting New River H-D to look around and was impressed by the low pressure of the salespeople. Being in auto/truck sales myself, I appreciate being able to make up my mind at my own pace. Don Thomas was very helpful when I was deciding between the Softail Custom and the Fatboy. The entire dealership helps me whenever I stop in for anything ( MORE CHROME!!!). "i was riding my bike from east liverpool ohio to myrtle beach bike week this year. it was sunday may 15th about 9am we had just pulled into a gas station to fuel up. when i got back on my bike i noticed that i had a flat tire. talk about a helpless feeling i was in a unfamiliar town just passing through and now i am stranded. we found out from the attendant at the gas station that we were about a mile from a harley shop, a couple of my buddies rode to the shop and found they were closed on sunday. We checked for a local motorcycle shop but all were closed because it was Sunday . i made a call to the harley shop in wilmington nc ( i had seen that they would be open because of bikeweek ) the girl i spoke with there was wonderful she tried her best to get me some help. anyhow she told us about the new river harley shop that was about 40 miles away, and that they were open on Sunday. we made arrangements to have my bike towed to the new river harley shop, and a couple of my buddies went ahead of the wrecker to try to make arrangements to get the tire fixed. When they got to the New River Harley shop they met some of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. These people went above and beyond to help us get back on the road. I�m not sure who will see this survey ( i hope the owner and management of dealership ) but a special thanks goes out to Tony Santisi and Ben Hixson these two people turned a terrible day into a pleasant experience. Tony who works in the parts department said he would try to help us and check the tire. Ben had the day off and Tony asked him to come in to work so he could help us. To make a long story short Tony checked the tire and replaced the inner tube, and got us back on the road ( he did a great job ) we made it to myrtle beach and home with no other major problems. thanks for all you did for us . I only wish I lived closer to Jacksonville North Carolina because you would have a new customer for life. It�s a shame that every harley shop doesn�t come with their own Tony Santisi and Ben Hixson. I would highly recommend this harley shop to anyone who would listen thanks tony and ben and everyone else at the new river harley shop. Darin morgan "

"Other than the top of one saddle bag being slightly scratched (obviously by someone dragging their foot getting on or off the bike in the showroom), and one of the mirrors being tightened down to far forward to adjust by hand (which are both extremely minor issues). My Bike, a Road King Custom, is truely AWESOME! Honestly, that's as critical as I can be about it. My salesman, Don Thomas, is a true 'plentipotentiary' (I'm gonna make you look that one up for yourself). He really did whatever it took to satisfy me, and took the time to truely get to know me. It was a really busy day, and he could have blown me off for any other customer after a few minutes, but he didn't. Don let me understand that (I) was important and that a quality experince with him, was paramount! He didn't try to 'oversale' me, or the 'Harley-Davidson' name. I will send my friends to him (because I got to know him on a personal level, not because the rest of the staff is inattentive... No, far from it! They were ALL GREAT!) Mary Beth (their Finance and Insurance Specialist) found me the BEST DEAL to be found on insurance. She is a pleasure to work with (and pretty cute too, as are all the girls at New River H-D). While I was waiting for Don to put everything together for me, Vivian (their service coordinator) had my bike taken to the service department to have some custom grips installed, and top-off the gas tank. It was in and back out in no time! Tiffany showed me around and introduced me to everyone personally. They are all proud of their jobs, their company, and the opportunity to serve folks better than anyone else. They all showed the 'passion' they have for doing a great job. I've been in other dealerships and my presence NOT acknowledged when I walked in, nor at any time while there, that is until I had to ASK for a salesman. Then they were only interested in talking to me until they asked me if I was buying a bike today, or within the next few months. When my reply was that I was unsure of when, I felt dropped like a hot potatoe... Needless to say I didn't return to either of those two dealerships. You won't have that type of experience at New River. They are a team that is interested in one thing... YOUR EXPERIENCE while visiting there! "
